Welcome to Storyva — a place for real, firsthand stories
Storyva started from a simple frustration: it's hard to find honest, firsthand accounts online. Search for almost anything — a product, a clinic, a process, a place — and you mostly get ads, sponsored reviews, and articles written by people who never actually tried the thing.
This is a space for the opposite of that.
What belongs here:
- Firsthand experiences. What actually happened to you, in your own words.
- Honest reviews. Including the boring parts, the downsides, and what you'd do differently.
- Practical guides. The steps you wish someone had written down before you started.
- Anonymous stories. Some things are worth sharing but hard to attach your name to. You can post anonymously.
- Local tips. The specific, on-the-ground knowledge that never makes it into a listicle.
What we're trying to avoid:
- Content written mainly to sell something.
- Advice from people who haven't done the thing.
- Vague generalities. Specifics are what make a story useful.
How to start:
Write about something you've actually been through. It doesn't need to be dramatic or polished. The most useful posts here are often the ordinary ones — a process you figured out, a mistake you made, a service that surprised you.
If you're not sure it's worth posting, it probably is. The thing that felt obvious to you is exactly what someone else is searching for right now.
Welcome. We're glad you're here.
